One digit. Tweeted again and again. It became shorthand, then a movement, then inevitable.
This is the story of 4.
On January 3, 2023, CZ posted his do's and don'ts for the year. Four points. The fourth one read: "Ignore FUD, fake news, attacks, etc."

Within 24 hours he was tweeting just the digit "4" at every FUD article. The number became shorthand. The community caught on fast.
The hand gesture wasn't CZ's invention. A community member named Spigg did the 4 hand sign first. CZ adopted it, then publicly credited him as the originator. From there it spread to every Binance event.

Then 2023 turned. CZ stepped down as Binance CEO and pleaded guilty. Binance settled with US regulators for billions, and CZ was handed a prison sentence. Of all the numbers it could have been, his sentence came out to four months.
The same number from his resolution kept following him — first as a motto, now as a sentence. Nobody planned that. The 4 just kept showing up.
The 4 stopped living on CZ's timeline and moved into the real world. At every Binance and BNB Chain event, the community threw the sign — four fingers up. It became a handshake, an inside joke, a flag.

No campaign told them to. The 4 just kept showing up — wherever the community gathered.
October 1, 2025. A hacker took over the official BNB Chain X account. Instead of just phishing, he got greedy — he launched a memecoin called 4, dropped the contract straight from the hacked account, pumped it, dumped it for about $4,000, and vanished.
He thought that was the end of it. The community had other plans. They piled into the abandoned token and bought it higher — on purpose — to rub it in his face. The thing he tried to scam people with became the thing the community owned.
CZ called it the funniest comeback by the community. It ran to a market cap in the hundreds of millions, and when he posted "BNB meme szn" a few days later, it lit the whole thing on fire. That was the moment $4 truly came to life.
ETH has its memes. Solana has its memes. BNB has the 4.
It started as one word in a list.
Ignore FUD.
Three years later it is a hand sign, a movement, and a token the community will never let go of. The 4 was always about not flinching. It still is.
4.
$4 is listed across the BNB ecosystem and beyond. Pick a venue — it takes you straight to the pair.
